Preferences and filters may look pretty much the same, but they’re different. Wondering how?

Well, search filters are by default your preferences. But you can always turn your preferences off in the search filter and search.

Remember, this 'turn off the preferences' feature is only temporarily and will work for just one search.

Introducing the powerful search feature of Palatable app!

Remember that search filters, by default, follow your preferences.

But what if you’re feeling like eating something entirely different? You can turn off the filter temporarily. It’ll work for just one search.

How does the Search work?

Search suggestions are based on the dish availability (& of course, your preferences) in the area of search.

You can search for a

1. Dish
2. Restaurant
3. Deals
4. Party Trays

By default, the search is for the dish. If you want to search for something else, select the tab for the respective item.

The science of placing an order through Palatable app

Would it be a wrong assumption if we say you’ve already placed an order using Palatable app, at least once?

Maybe, or maybe not.

But we’re definitely not wrong when we say you may not have discovered all four ways to order through the app.

Here are 4 ways to order your favorite food using Palatable app

Click on order now, while browsing through the card recommendations for a quick bite.

• Browse your favorites & directly add them to your cart & place an order.
• You can also browse your swipes, pick the dish you want to eat and click add to finalize your order.
• If you’re already sure what you want to eat, just search it & click add.
• How about you try out one of these four ways to place an order?
   

Food Pairing - Chef’s Recommendations

No more “trending” dishes. We show you what the Chef is recommending for a particular dish. You will be taken to the Menu details page after adding a dish that has the chef’s recommendations.

You can add the chef’s recommended dishes in the cart once you have added the main dish and customize it, if necessary.

We promise you’re going to have the most fun when you get recommended the dishes that you’ll love. But first, let us tell you how it works.

Once you add a particular dish to your card and have done the optional customization you will be directed to the dish detail page to check out the Chef recommended food pairing! How cool is that!

Favorites vs likes

We couldn’t wait for you to explore the app & ask these inevitable questions. So, we’re answering it ourselves. Yes, even before you asked.

Here’s what will happen when you favorite(heart) a dish/restaurant: You’ll get an alert when your favorite dish/restaurant is running a deal. If you favorite a special, you’ll get an alert when the restaurant makes that special on a particular day.
But likes work a bit differently.

Unlike favorites, you can like only dishes, not restaurants. Swipe left for dislike and right for like. To access your likes, go to my swipes.

Favorites are based on a particular dish and/or restaurant, and the Likes are for a dish. When you click on any dish under Likes, we’ll find the restaurant near you that offers the respective dish.
 

Here’s one to the savings!

We’ve made this app for people who want to save time (& money).

With just a few card swipes, you can begin to discover dishes that suit your dietary preferences. But here’s another way to reduce the discovery time - just go to the swipe history. You’ll see only those likes that are available in your current location.

So, next time, you need to grab lunch or dinner from a new location quickly, you don’t need to browse through a long list of options. Just see the swipe history!

Don’t forget to swipe left for the dishes you dislike and right for the dishes you like.
 

Make the Most of Palatable’s Most Exciting Feature

Once you download the Palatable App, you’ll be able to watch our offerings grow as a member of our early bird family.

Start using Palatable now and enter your preferences to get personalized dish recommendations. There are several ways to take advantage of our intuitive, interactive system. It’s simple. And the more you use it, the smarter it gets.

1. The Cards
Whenever you swipe a dish card, our recommendation system listens to you like an attentive friend and offers you suggestions based on your preferences. Remember to swipe right what you like, and swipe left if you don't want to see a dish again.

2. The Search
Every time you search for a particular dish (e.g., shrimp scampi or chicken vindaloo), the system suggests variants that fit your dietary preferences. You don’t have to set new filters every time. We record your preferences in the search filter. You can always change filters to broaden a search, too.

3. The Restaurant Profile
Toggle the full menu button on a restaurant’s profile to switch to a recommended menu. You’ll see only the dishes that match your preferences. No need to view the full menu if you don’t want to!

The system may ask you to reset your preferences if the dishes available in your current location don’t match what you indicated. Just change the preferences temporarily and watch the magic happen!
